I hope you'll indulge me as I share a picture of our new family member and new mascot for CrossFit Georgetown. This is Giavanna, 14 weeks old. Ok, so she's not very tough looking and maybe you're thinking she's a better mascot for Curves or Jazzercise (wink!!) but don't let her cute and seemingly innocent face fool you. She a toughie...leaps up onto couches with a single bound, chomps onto fingertips with one ferocious snap and don't underestimate her ability to drag objects around 3 times her weight. I think she'll make us proud!
WOD:
Deadlift
3 x 5

"Annie"
Alternating DU's (double-unders) with Sit-Ups:
50-40-30-20-10
**For those who can't do DU's, double the reps for single-jumps. (100-80...20)
Have a GREAT weekend!! ;)
AAAWWW Cutie Patootie Gia!!!
ReplyDeleteI was disappointed in my crossfit performance today. My deadlifts were way under my last deadlift strength day weight and I bowed out of the met con entirely. I did feel weak in general and can list a few other excuses but, still a disappointment nonetheless no matter how you spin it :( Oh well, maybe I'll make up for it this weekend with something ;o)
Got more aggressive than I should have on the DL's but I did move alot of weight.

Wod 10:04. Post wod I managed a few true double unders, now to work on getting two in a row.
Very solid week, I felt very sore despite good rest and good eating. I really can't wait to see the results of this strength cycle, not only physically but mentally. Have a good weekend all, and GO COWBOYS!!
Josh
WOOHOO Josh!!! WTG on a great week!! To be on top of it both with WOD's and diet, is awesome. I have yet to find the willpower to be strong on both of those counts. Anyway, you're right, you'll be in a great physical and mental head space with that dedication :o)
