Energy of movement

So much of what we do in CrossFit is put energy into movement. How else can we aggressively move such heavy loads. It's all about tapping into the hub of our power source...our hips and core and then into our extremities.

Melonie is showing a fantastic example of this energy. That bar is essentially floating up because of her good hip drive and aggressive shrug and she's about to whip those elbows through and catch the bar in a stable position. Way to go, Melonie!!

  1. WTG Melonie!!!

For the WOD I did 125# deadlifts, regulation burpees and regulation squats (I think I was below parallel ;o) lol) for a time of 7.38

Hollow Rock almost killed me and my abs were seizing even after falling out of form 2 or 3 times!! I could've done Superman for another 30 seconds......I THINK! :o)

Post your stats and comments CFG!! Lets get this blog active!

  2. Considering last week Delany told me to do one million burpees for time, this was a better option.

DL @275. No clue on the time, I didn't even look at the board or write the WOD down. Guess that means it was a good workout.
