It's really hard to push yourself on vacation. I mean, that's the time to relax right, take it easy...skip your workouts. No....it's not. Stay on your program. There's nothing quite like 'constantly varied' than to figure out how to get your WODs in on vacation. Different location, different equipment, totally different environment. And it's FUN! :)
Ken pushing through the WOD in TN. And I can tell you, since Ken happens to be where I am in TN, that this 400m run is no picnic. The first half is up a steep hill through the trees. Talk about a butt-blaster, coupled with all those thrusters...butt-on-fire!! :)

WOD:
5 rounds of:
400m
15 Thruster (95/65)
15 Pull-Up
Yeah, but doesn't that make the second half of the run downhill, as opposed to what we do here in Georgetown- which, curiously enough, is up-hill both ways? (Barefoot, in the snow in winter, on melting asphalt in summer, 110 degree wind in your face, you get the picture) I'm just glad we don't live in Egypt- Ginger would have us running up & down the pyramids.
ReplyDeleteUm, curious that William apparently doesn't do any programming. And running up the pyramids sounds grand!
ReplyDeleteRegarding the programming, I stand corrected- there is certainly more than enough blame to go around! Surely one person couldn't inflict so much on so many...
